What Is a Hair Volumizer?
A hair volumizer is a short, wide clip-in piece that sits close to your roots and adds thickness — not length. Because it's positioned high on the head and hidden under your own hair, it fills out the areas where hair has thinned without adding weight or showing a join.
That's what makes it different from a normal hair extension. Extensions add hair at the ends. A volumizer adds it where you've lost it.

The sides and temples
The first place most women notice it, and the hardest to hide — it's the part people see when you turn your head. Side patches are narrow pieces made specifically for that strip.

The back of the head
Hair goes flat at the back and the ponytail thins from the inside out. A 2 Set Back Hair Volumizer layers two pieces at different heights so the lift carries all the way down instead of stopping halfway. In Natural Brown and Mocha Brown too.
The crown and everything below it
When thinning is general rather than in one spot, a One Set Volumizer across the back lifts everything from the crown down. If your hair is fine all over, the One Set with Extra Density packs more hair into the same footprint.

How Much Volume Do You Actually Need?
The set number tells you how many pieces you get, which decides how much of your head is covered. Most women buy more than they need on the first order.
One set is the right starting point for the large majority. One piece, four to five clips, enough to make a visible difference and light enough that you forget it's there. If you've never worn a volumizer, start here.
Two sets when the back of your head specifically has flattened and a single piece leaves a gap between the lift at the top and your ends.
Three sets when thinning is spread across your whole head, or when you want the fullest possible result without going permanent.

Volumizer, Topper or Patch — The Difference
This is where most people get stuck, and buying the wrong one is the most common mistake in this category.
A volumizer adds density below the crown. It clips at the roots and hides under your own hair, so it works when your hair has genuinely thinned but your scalp isn't showing through yet.
A hair topper sits on top of the head and covers the parting itself. That's the one you need once the scalp has become visible along your part line — a volumizer underneath won't fix something that's showing on top.
A hair patch is smaller and targeted. It conceals one defined sparse area or a receding hairline rather than adding general coverage.
The simplest test: if you can still hide it by changing your parting, you need a volumizer. If you can't, you need a topper or a patch. For extensive thinning, our hair wigs are the better answer.
If Your Hair Is Curly or Wavy
Straight hair clipped into wavy hair separates by the afternoon, and everyone can see it. Texture match matters more here than on any other extension, because a volumizer sits inside your hair rather than below it.
Match the texture your hair has on a normal day — not the texture it has after a blow-dry.
If You Have Greys
Most volumizers are sold in flat black or brown, which sits oddly against hair that's salt-and-pepper. Our Grey Blend One Set Volumizer mixes grey through the strands so it reads as your hair rather than a block of colour clipped into it.

Wearing One Every Day

Two rules for daily wear: take it out before you sleep, and don't clip into the exact same spot every single day. Move it by a centimetre or two and the hair underneath stays healthy.
How to Clip In a Volumizer
Section — part your hair horizontally where you want the volume and clip the top half up.
Backcomb — a light backcomb at the roots of the section underneath gives the clips something to grip. This one step is the difference between a volumizer that stays put and one that slides.
Clip — open the clips, press them into the backcombed root, click shut.
Blend — drop your own hair back over the top and brush through.
Removing it takes seconds. No mirror acrobatics, no help needed.
Care
Volumizers don't touch your scalp, so they barely get oily — wash only when they need it, not on a schedule. Mild sulphate-free shampoo, cool water, detangle from the ends upwards, air dry flat. Heat protectant before any styling tool. Store flat rather than folded — a storage case keeps the clips from catching.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Will the clips show?
Ans. Not when clipped below the crown with your own hair falling over them — which is how volumizers are designed to sit. The base is covered completely. Getting the shade right matters more than placement here.
2. I'm already losing hair. Will clips make it worse?
Ans. Volumizers spread their weight across four or five clips instead of pulling on one section, and nothing is glued or bonded, so nothing comes out with them. Move the placement slightly day to day and take it out at night — that's the whole rule. This is exactly why women with thinning hair choose volumizers over permanent extensions.
3. Will it stay put all day?
Ans. Yes, if you backcomb the roots first. What loosens a volumizer is clipping it into freshly washed, slippery hair. Second-day hair, or a light backcomb, solves it entirely.
4. My hair is short. Can I wear one?
Ans. Short Side Patches and the One Set are designed to work with shorter hair. Longer multi-piece sets need enough of your own hair to fall over them, or the join shows.
5. Can I match it to coloured or highlighted hair?

6. How many clips does one piece have?
Ans. Between four and five depending on the set, positioned so the weight spreads rather than concentrating on one point.
